lol I believe the expression is "chock-full of..."
call me crazy but I preferred orig assassin's creed. really missed the the more abstract, electronic, high-pitched sounds associated with Viewpoints from the original.
AC2 went for a more realistic approach that just made me notice the jarringly AWFUL dialogue even more.
also, Flags > Feathers.
the 1st has more charm. that made me more willing to forgive flaws that still exist in AC2...
I expect the brand awareness that's already been built up means 'xbox' will be in there somewhere. but we should also rule out the above commented suggestions that don't sound very family-friendly, since that's clearly where MS has been directing their marketing efforts.
ok I lol'd so I had to give bubs+ Funny despite your blatant trolling XD
1st paragraph states no Mario or Zelda sequels because the originals are "iconic". this is immediately followed by the 1st actual entry that states its predecessor "set the bench mark" (which basically means it's 'iconic').
FAIL
agree 100% and would add,
D) the writing itself is sh**
btw the expression is 'well-rounded', not "fully rounded", MisterMarston
@milohighclub: although I disagree with sinclairclown, I'm pretty sure he/she was being sarcastic - and it was pretty obvious...
also, your flamebait, h8er username belies your 'everyone deserves to b gamerzzz!!' comment.
@Sony360: lol nice. but how much personality can someone named 'Master Chief' have?
Xmas 2004 I worked in the electronics dept of a toys'r'us in southern NJ. they would take preorders and then not keep track. they got lucky that not everyone who preordered came in for their game at least once (prob San Andreas) because they had sold all copies and not held enuf for those who had preordered.
effin joke indeed.
more polish wouldn't have fixed the SHITE ending, though. there's this expression, 'you can't polish a turd'...
anyway, shite games journalism is also annoying. I didn't even know what #1 was talking about until reading your comment, M_Prime - because the article gives no explanation as to what broken mechanics are specifically being referred to! think u got it right though M_Prime, I'm giving +bubs Helpful.
WARNING do not click the link in Ginimon's comment. pretty sure that's what caused sudden malware issues on my computer (fortunately my MalwareBytes saved me).
...is there a proper forum to report this?
I see a lot of n4gers claiming 'bias' and/or 'idiocy' without bothering to actually argue the points made by the article. why don't u try typing something useful instead?? tell us exactly why this review is wrong...
eff obsidian I say. too many IP takeovers using same dated assets with less skill (KOTOR2, New Vegas).
don't think I'll be buying anything with obsidian working on it again, New Vegas was the last straw IMO.
anarchist much?
@Oxymoron:
"Yeah but the games aimed at Children..."
says who? you? thanks for perpetuating the 'games are for kids' stereotype, @ssh@t.
agree. also, for some reason I didn't love A Link To The Past - but then again, I somehow didn't play it until AFTER playing through Ocarina Of Time.
haven't seen LA Noire faces yet but I'm extremely skeptical. we've evolved to be able to detect A LOT of subtlety in the human face (except for the autists I guess).
I bought a few themes before MS completely removed the Blades dash. they were all rendered worthless in 1 update. that's the kind of "f**k the consumer" bullsh1t MS pulls that drives me crazy.
well said.
and yes I agree you should be able to remove the dash foreground and view the artwork you've paid for! thought this for a long time, before they even changed from the Blades dash.
strange to see such an overtly pro-sony article on n4g - or maybe I just don't read enough of the articles here. methinks the author is getting a little carried away with his/her praise of sony & valve. (ex: "Sony understands Valve’s vision of gaming as a service; it’s what the company’s been about since the inception of the PS3 and the PlayStation Network." IMO it's been more about playing catch up to xbl since the PS3 launch, as far as online goes.)
looks ok from where I'm sitting. I've seen plenty worse this gen. I'd say this looks better than FO:NV or dragon age: origins so far.
@Iamback: in answer to your question, I care about graphics. or at least visual design. pure tech power isn't as important as how the assets are used. but the visual aesthetic sets up the whole feel of the game and IS important.
